Welcome to a slightly updated form of my web journal. Since my server crashed about a month ago, I’ve been looking to move to a dedicated host for e-mail, web, and commercial web applications. Dreamhost has fit the bill perfectly, and at their recommendation, satine.org is now running WordPress.
Not all of the templates are in place yet, so things will seem a bit funky for a short while I navigate the new templating system. (Things like Recent Artwork, some links, and my Music will come online soon)
With this new system, I’m excited, it’s much easier to post and manage satine.org now, so look forward to more frequent posts from me over time.
Cheers!

Although I’ve been down with a nasty flu all this week, I dragged myself over to WonderCon in SF to see Joss Whedon, creator of Firefly / Serenity; to see the cast, Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin and Summer Glau; and to visit with fellow Browncoats.
The experience was amazing! Everyone was so personable and friendly. At the autograph area, Nathan remarked that his wore similar glasses to mine. And, I managed to comment on his flower-patterned shirt. Adam showed off his Firefly Stunt Team t-shirt with great glee. Summer was quite cordial and pleasant. And Joss, an awesome guy! Poor Joss had a cold too, but still took time to sign my poster and compliment on my Willow and Tara drawing. (“Gorgeous!” he said. :-)
The Browncoats are definitely the best fans ever! You can easily pick out Browncoats from the rest of the crowd, they’re always friendly and make you feel welcome, what a great gang. When I have more time, I’ll definitely help out, it’s too bad that my busy schedule and my cold prevented me from staying late and going to the after party Shindig.
You can see photos from the event in the BD photo gallery.

I went to Macworld San Francisco 2005 today, and saw several really cool new things, including the iPod Shuffle, the Mac Mini, iWork ’05 and iLife ’05. I also bumped into Phil Schiller, VP of Product Marketing at Apple. Here are some photos from the exhibition floor, but you can see the rest in the Macworld 2005 photo gallery.
